Young Marines has taught me respect, disipline and leadership.
-Ronnie Hedrick

The Young Marines has put alot of positive people in my life who care. Also it has taught me how to discipline myself to make myself a better person. It has allowed me to connect with other people in a positive way and let them know that I care.
-Vanessa Rodriguez

To me, the Young Marines means good discipline and a step ahead from other kids your age. It means alot to veterns of the Marines to see us and know that we do all we can to help this country. I think that it makes them feel proud to see the Young Marines still working.
-Matt Hutson

If I choose one thing to improve on in the Young Marines, my rank would be higher.
-Brant LaRue

The Young Marines has taught me to be more confident in a survival situation. The program has taught me to get in shape and has given me more energy during the day. I can now make a fire, use a map and run longer.
-Phillip Smith

Disipline in the Young Marines helps me for the future to restrain myself from doing something I shouldn't do. Strength is a key to success like when you work at a dangerous place you need it to lift things with a heavy weight. The squad is like a second family to me that will prepare me to work together with team work.
-Cheyenne Doles

The Young Marines has been an excellent program for me and it has motivated me to focus on leadership, making positive choices, using self discipline and being involved in forms of community service. I can put these skills to use at all times whether I'm at drills, in the classroom, competing in sports or just involved in everyday activities. I get a lot of surprised looks at the store or at gas stations just by acting respectful and being considerate, holding the door open for someone, helping an elderly person put their groceries in their car, or just small acts of kindness. I suppose people aren't used to having teenagers act this way and that's pretty sad.
The Young Marines has changed my life and my perspective. This program has helped me become more mature and responsible, a lot more than I ever thought I would be. I've have done a lot of things I'm not very proud of in the past, and I've done things I don't like to think about. However if I could change anything in my life, I'd choose not to because I've learned a lot and it's made me who I am today. I know my mom and my dad are proud of me and I realize they both helped me a lot. This program has also helped and has opened more doors for me, and helped me set goals for success. If I wasn't a Young Marine you would probably see me flipping burgers at McDonalds someday because I wouldn't have set goals very high. With the Young Marine program I have focused on goals for my future which includes enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corp, and eventually attending OCS.
